Cancer: A Controversial Subject

Factual information regarding the CCRG approach

(2) CCRG Research Observations

CCRG’s research process in ongoing. New data is constantly being added and re-evaluated and the research is constantly being assessed over-time. The following describes the current observations of our internal research.

CCRG has been conducting Case Series Research into prostate, colorectal and breast cancer. We have a policy of publicly presenting our observations at seminars, science and medical conferences and submitting the research for publication by peer-reviewed journals.

Prostate Research Paper:

Abstract publisher reference:
O’Shea, Dr. E.; Lin, Dr. K. “The Therapeutic Effect of Amino Acids on Prostate Cancer Patients” (2005) "CAM Research in Canada: Sharing Successes and Challenges - Abstracts from the 2nd Annual IN-CAM Symposium, November 12&13, 2005,Toronto, Canada", Journal of Complementary and Integrative Medicine: Vol. 2: No. 1, Article 12.

CCRG’s research on “The Therapeutic Effect of Amino Acids on Breast Cancer Patients” will be presented at the:

Natural Health Product Research Society of Canada, 3rd Annual Natural Health Product Research Conference, Toronto, Ontario

Full colorectal and breast studies will be publicly available post-publishing.

“High-level” Research Observations (see full prostate research paper):
Based on the results of the Case Series Research, the following has been demonstrated:
  • 95% of research subjects are late Stage III or IV

  • # of subjects in each series:
      - Colorectal: 35
      - Prostate: 50
      - Breast: 85 (results update in process. Available April 2006)

  • In all cases, there is significant improvement in Quality of Life

  • Test results appear to show significant improvement in survival as compared to SEER data

  • Post-immune system intervention, the following observations were made in all subjects:
       - Plasma amino acid profiles demonstrate correlative movement with intervention
       - Subjects demonstrate significant positive response rates in disease
remission, stabilization, and improvement in quality of life without side
         effect or adverse events
       - There is beneficial management of collateral damage from radiotherapy
         and chemotherapy

SUMMARY STATEMENT ON CCRG RESEARCH OBSERVATIONS
Every approach to dealing with people who have cancer must be judged on it’s own merits based on well-defined patient groups. There are clearly research limitations to all types of research. CCRG is clear about the limitations of their internal Case Series Research (see full research paper).

However, the positive impact of the CCRG supplementation program on the support of people who have cancer cannot be denied…. regardless whether you base your conclusions on any or all of the following:

  • thousands of individual peer-reviewed, clinical studies on the various components of the CCRG compounds,
  • case studies
  • case series research

Clearly further research is warranted to explore the therapeutic benefit of the CCRG protocol when used singularly or when combined judiciously with other agents and conventional medical approaches. Unfortunately, this approach of combined and patient-specific therapies is not practically, ethically or easily transferred to the arena of clinical research. This makes it all the more imperative that CCRG’s approach to involve practitioner’s in ongoing research must continue. The possibilities of combining the resources of both conventional and complementary medicine are greater today than they have ever been.
